“The value of the course justified the cost, in my opinion. The course itself was well organized and presented. Dr. Levine is knowledgeable, engaging and entertaining. The other presenters were equally entertaining and knowledgeable. It was definitely more interactive rather than strictly lecture. The scenarios and hands on aspects were invaluable. This course easily ranks at the top of my list of favorites relative to all of the courses and conferences I’ve attended. A frequent comment I received afterwards from the nurses and my colleagues was how they felt the day went fast, was entertaining, and that they learned something. One of the major benefits of the course was the team building opportunity to run scenarios with the nurses. Occasionally the ICU nurses will run scenarios but frankly we often don’t have time to participate. I’m also a protocol fan and find great benefit in having the credible foundation provided by the work of Drs. Levine, Dunning and others. I think the nurses especially appreciate the structure. I think CSU-ALS should be required for us just as ACLS. In the end, would I do it again? Yes.”

“The CSU-ALS Course created a common learning bridge to help bring together the “know everything about CV surgery” folks with the “new – Oh my God, this is all new” folks – the team has assigned roles, it’s regimented and it keeps anyone from over-running the room and gives a unified approach that everyone works off of and can contribute to. It is absolutely a dynamic and CV Surgery specific course—GREAT!”
